The Mayor's Chesapeake Energy Scholarship Fund

Dallas Mayor Tom Leppert followed through on campaign promises Thursday morning by announcing the first of several education initiatives aimed at making college education a reality for hundreds of at-risk Dallas students.

Unveiled outside Madison High School, low temperatures could not cool the excitement surrounding the groundbreaking and life-changing "Mayor's Chesapeake Energy Scholarship Fund," which pledges to assist students who fall financially short of paying for college.

Homeless Alliance Press Conference

Mayor Tom Leppert and the Metro Dallas Homeless Alliance gratefully accepted the largest local financial contribution ever earmarked exclusively to end homelessness during a press conference Monday.
